Nissan 370Z Common Problems & Maintenance Tips

Standing out thanks to its thrilling performance, sculpted styling and surprisingly comfortable cabin, Nissan 370Z is well-received. But it also has some downsizes, its engine is prone to unwelcome roughness at high rpm, there is also an abundance of road noise and outward visibility is poor, therefore, you need to pay more attention to these common problems on the 370Z:
First, engine failure is what Nissan 370Z drivers complain most during driving since it often indicates your vehicle borders on breaking down. You are supposed to solve it early so that your vehicle could last longer. Some experienced 370Z drivers are kind enough to offer you some practical means to diagnose and solve this problem. This problem often starts with noisy sounds such as squealing or whining from the engine, an odor of the fuel in the car; then it will manifest as roughly running engine, suffered engine performance so that misfiring, stalling and even hard starting or inability to start. Before you realize, the vehicle will lose power when acceleration, consume excessive oil and even activate the Check Engine Light, which means you need to inspect the 370Z rod bearing, fuel pump, air filter, oil pump, fuel injector o-ring, throttle body gasket and exhaust manifold gasket.
Second, for Nissan 370Z drivers, braking and suspension failure are also troublesome to handle. Since braking system often decides if you could reach at the destination safely or not, once the brakes become noisy and poorly-responded, brake pedal vibrates heavily, score marks are found on the rotor, you need to replace the 370Z brake disc, brake pad set and brake drum immediately. As for suspension failure, you need to notice if there are strange sounds from the tire area to cause uneven and excessive tire wear, which results in tilting vehicle. Before you feel hard to control the vehicle due to intense car vibration, unintentional steering and loose steering wheel, please keep the 370Z shock absorber, wheel bearing, steering knuckle and coil springs in order.
A wise Nissan 370Z owner will attach enough importance to the routine maintenance on vulnerable auto parts on the vehicle. You should know some parts of your 370Z just could not last long due to a high frequency of usages under harsh conditions. Therefore, please put the 370Z brake light switch, ignition lock assembly, washer reservoir, wiper blade, oxygen sensor, emblem, blower motor, and seat belt on your routine maintenance list.
